Venus-Bedeckung durch den Mond. Am helllichten Tag können wir beobachten, wie die schmale Mondsichel den Morgenstern überfährt und eine gute Stunde später wieder freigibt. Bei sehr klaren Verhältnissen wird auch Regulus, der Alpha-Stern des Sternbildes Löwe, sichtbar sein.

The European Symposium on Occultation Projects (ESOP) is an annual scientific meeting organised by the International Occultation Timing Association/European Section (IOTA/ES).
It joins the community interested in stellar occultations phenomena, the field of observational astronomy which has recently seen a great development thanks to the Gaia astrometric mission.
